Last week, I went out with my friends. When we were in a Japanese styled restaurant and waitress served us with different dishes, I noticed that most of my friends took out their phones to take photos of every dish. I was surprised because it seemed that it was just me that was thinking about taking a picture before I eat. I thought about my other friends back home, before we ate, they usually took out their cell phones as well. Once I used my chopsticks before my friend finished taking pictures so she was a little bit unhappy. Although she was just unhappy for a few seconds, I was still pretty sorry for that. I asked several friends and they told me it probably is a particular type of people, not all people but I do feel that most of my friends, even my mother would sometimes do that, too. And when I met a similar situation again, I was curious why people are so manic about taking photos, especially Chinese people. What is within photography that makes it so appealing?
